Hvor? Hvordan? Hvorfor?

A question can spark an interest in wanting to know more and learn about the previously unexplored. In the desire to learn something, there is often a curiosity about understanding how something works, and it often starts with a question: Why? Who? What? When? Where? How? Being curious, asking a question, is often the beginning of new discoveries. Not all questions can be answered – that too can be something learned in school.
The work is composed of question marks (and partly exclamation marks as symbols for answers). Through the interlinking and overlaying of these, various visual patterns reminiscent of geometric ornaments emerge. The individual symbols are often not immediately identifiable at first glance. The main part of the facade is based on the hilly landscape of Vanse. The shapes begin on the facade of the new building and continue to the underside of the footbridge and the adjoining wall in the old school building.
In addition to the works on the facade, there are also seven ”satellite works.” located in various places around the school. The level of detail are adapted to the students’ ages (the grade levels that occupy the different areas).
